Longboard press photos.

Made the press.

I finished my longboard press. When I get a video editor program I will make a video of the press. Well yeah I have wood for the press but I wont have access to a table saw which says I cant cut the wood. I will make a board within a couple weeks.

Longboard Design Ideas.

I am trying to find a design for my first longboard deck that I will be making. I am thinking of Just copying my pintail longboard but then again what Is the point of having two board the same thing. I was hoping that I could do a drop through longboard But I am Just confused on how you drill the holes for a drop through deck. I cant seem to find a video anywhere that shows you how that. But anyway a drop through would be cool If only I knew how to drill the holes. I have Gullwing Chargers that would fit a drop through. The risers I could get for pretty cheap also. The thing out of board making that really confused myself Is how people line up the trucks on a longboard when they drill them so that the trucks are even down the board. Because obviously If they arnt even they your ride would be crazy and not work out so well for you riding. Which brings myself to the question. How do people make there trucks be aligned through the board. Like lets say that you are making a drop through longboard and the top of the board Is five Inches wide. Lets say the bottom of the board Is 7 Inches wide where the trucks go. Thats Is Just an example though. But I am wondering. How would you measure out how the trucks are even or do you not measure them out evenly as far as the measurements on the back because If you split seven In half you get 3.5 but If you split five In half you get 2.5. Well those are both different measurements so I dont see how you would line the trucks up on that. Basically do you Just put the trucks In front where you want them. Then take a ruler stick and put It down the middle of the board and draw the lines where your trucks should go along with your drill holes because a line would be going from the top bolts of the board to the bottom of the board so that you would know where to drill. It Just seems confusing to myself how people do that because It Just seems like there Isnt a way. Well are people Just guessing where the trucks be or what. Is there a way to do this. When a person looks at a board the top and bottom are both different measurements as far as width so Idk how you line the front with the bottom up and then drill the trucks. Question Is for all types of boards not Just drop through longboard. Leave A Comment.    

Building A Press.

I bought the wood to make a longboard press. I plan on making a press out of wood. Just a simple rail press but modified to my specs. Once this press Is finished I plan to make my own first board obviously. I was thinking of Just copying my pintail longboard. But then I thought about how I wanted to make a drop through board because what Is the point of making a pintail for my first longboard If I already have a pintail. A drop through longboard would Just be complicated. For a first board build process. Or even a top mount would be sweet but like have It be a top mount that Is basically a drop through longboard but have It be a top mount. This summer will be fun when I start making boards for fun. Designing Is Fun.    

Longboarding In Rain.

Well I was biking with my friend today in the rain while he longboarded. We went like three miles and his bearings never quit then. It was kinda dumb because his grip was soaked and I was thinking that his bearings would be messed up wierd. But they wernt. I was surprised that all that rain didnt ruin them.

Building Longboard Press.

I will be building my first homeade longboard. For my first mold I will make a basic rail press. Which is basically a press that uses a two by four in the middle to press the board. Then on the outsides there are two by fours that will be held together by bolts. This press is hard to explain but if you want you could Look on Like Google Images for a picture. The picture you find might not be the same as the one I am making because I plan on modifying mine differently. Basically when this press is being build I will post some pictures on the build. I plan to start building this press in about week. First I Need. To get all the materials. I am excited to make my first board. I will basically make the same board that I have as a Sector Nine Board. I will use this board as a template. But also a guide to where I should put everything on. Once my first board is completed. I will try to get more detail.
